Dear Parents and Guardians:

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to Telfair County High School.  Here at TCHS, our Mission is to prepare students to be productive members of society by fostering a caring environment with meaningful experiences and high expectations for all.  Our Vision is pursuing excellence by establishing a global learning environment for student success. Our Goal is to adequately prepare all students to graduate on time with a rigorous, beneficial, and comprehensive education.  Our Mission and Vision guide us toward the educational environment we continually strive to provide for our students.  As a community, our hard work and efforts are what lead students to reaching the Goal while they learn to pursue excellence continually.  The pursuit of excellence is not limited to sports, school, or work.  It is not set on a timeline.  It is a continual choice a person makes with every decision.  Pursuing excellence is actively engaging in an activity to ensure superior results.  That is not a task to be taken lightly nor to be expected as easy.  When we lead our students in the pursuit of excellence, we are asking them to make that choice all day, every day.  That choice, to be dedicated to this activity, is asking our students to give us all they have.  To lead them in this pursuit of excellence will take all we have.  The price of excellence is high, but the cost of failure is greater.  I can find no nobler cause than to lead a child to excellence, and I am excited to join in this pursuit with our faculty and staff.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.  We will be glad to assist you with your student’s needs.
